24 Hour Fitness

I worked out at 24 Fitness for about 8 years. Initially I went to the gym in Miramar which is awesome, and then later because I moved I started working out at this location in Pembroke Pines. It's an older location then the Miramar location and management doesn't seem to be as on the job as out in Miramar. It's a smaller gym so it gets really packed especially during crunch time from about 5 to 8 p.m. the ab machines they have are older and definitely in need of replacement and the gym could be cleaner. I will say this about 24 Hour Fitness most of the equipment works most of the time. We moved to LA Fitness about 8 months ago to see if there was any difference, besides the LA Fitness Hollywood location is only 10 minutes from my home very very convenient as I work out 5 to 6 days a week. 24-Hour Fitness overall is much much better than LA Fitness, at least the Hollywood location. At LA Fitness Hollywood is very clear that there is no equipment maintenance program unless a member reports broken equipment. And even then it seems like it takes months to get equipment fixed. Also well 24 Hour Fitness wasn't perfect, LA Fitness Hollywood is a mess. Nobody reracks there weights and staff does nothing about it. Weights are strewn all over the club, you have to search everywhere to find dumbbells most of the time. I regret making the move, but LA Fitness Hollywood saves me much time and driving back and forth. Wish there was a newer gym Closer by that was actually run professionally. Seems both of these chains are slacking. I have been to many gyms in the 20-plus years I have been working out, so I've seen a thing or two. One last note on this very long post, what blew me away at 24 Hour Fitness Pembroke Pines after being a member for so long, is that when we went to cancel our membership, the manager never even asked why. You think they have the wrong person there? LOL!
