Alamo Rent A Car

I recently rented a car on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I had booked an economy size vehicle about 1.5-2 weeks in advance. I get to Alamo about 10 minutes later than my pickup time and they still don't have a vehicle ready. The rep was nice and apologetic but as a company, Alamo really dropped the ball. I was told the wait would be 10-15 minutes but I ended up waiting for over an hour. I ended up late to my event for which I rented the vehicle in the first place. I love the fact that Alamo is willing to rent to someone without a credit card without all the annoying conditions imposed by other companies. That said, I placed the reservation weeks in advance and it caused me problems that the vehicle was not ready.
