I have to start by being fully open and saying that this company did not do any work for me. But, that's the problem.
Back on February 15th, I reached out as I needed two cat doors installed in interior doors. Not a major project, but something I can't do myself. They insisted that someone needed to come out for a quote, which I found as odd since I had the cat doors in hand to provide dimensions and pictures, and offered to send pictures of the locations and let them know the door material/type. I've had this done in previous homes and it was always a $150 job that took an hour and didn't require a quote.
Andy OnCall said they had no availability to even have someone come out for a quote until March 2, so we went ahead and scheduled. Come the morning of, the contractor "lost the brakes in his truck" and needed to reschedule to Saturday, March 3. Okay, things happen. They gave me a two-hour window, and I waited in the empty home for two and a half hours and didn't hear a peep. I tried calling the office multiple times and only got voicemail (I figure that if you offer a Saturday visit, you'd at least have someone in the office, but nope.) So I left, essentially with three total hours of my time wasted, and e-mailed them the next morning.
They got back to me Monday and essentially said "We don't know what happened, but the best we can do is come out for a quote Friday." That's completely unacceptable after you no-call/no-show on someone. They said they didn't have my phone number, which is possible - I can't find 100% in an e-mail where I gave that to them, if I did - but how do you not catch that ahead of time? Every other company I deal with follows-up to verify address and contact info 3-5 days in advance.
I politely said that I wasn't satisfied with that, and that we needed the work done before we moved into the home (which is why I booked way in advance) and would it be possible to have the work actually completed before mid-March if we went with a Friday quote? No answer.
So while I didn't ever have any work done with them, I'm glad I didn't. Completely unprofessional and unhelpful customer service, who are apparently content to waste your time.
Find a smaller local contractor or handyman, which I did. I won't say who so this doesn't come off as smear advertisement, but at the very least, steer away from this company.
