Bairs Cove Boat Ramp at Haulover Canal

Love coming here to fish. There are 4 entrances. Boat ramp is SW entrance. Kayak launch area is NW entrance. Manatee viewing area is NE entrance. SE entrance is for bank fishing. I fish from both sides of the canal banks. Also use my kayak when they're alot of people fishing banks. I'll go to the harder areas to get to on foot and fish those areas. The current isn't that bad. You'll want an anchor that doesn't have hooks. Alot of rocks to get anchor stuck. Use a heavy weight instead. Or tie off to a tree branch. All kinds of birds to watch. Manatees are moving and may come up underneath you, so make sure you have good balance. Dolphins may appear right next to you as well. Awesome sight to see at close up. Love to spend time here.
