A word to the wise if camping here be sure to bring your raccoon proof boxes and if you have food out then be with your food at all times. also bring bug spray and plenty of sunscreen as the noseeums are out of control there. The gentleman that drove the charter boat to the island was very kind we were delayed due to an accident and he was light enough to wait for us an additional half hour to ensure we made our trip to the island that day. As far as fishing goes around Elliott key the cut that goes between the lighthouse and Elliott key along the west coast of the island as well as where you will get the best fishing from unless you're going to go several miles offshore. Camping prices as well as the ferry price was very fair and reasonable Park is well-maintained and a must visit if in the Miami area.
