Let's start with the reservation : I originally requested a Ford F-150 then a few days later had to change that to a Cadillac which was done by phone. The day before the pick up date I called the locale office and arranged for a ride from my home to the Enterprise office. I was told to call back around 0730 on the day of the rental. I called back on the day of the rental at the specified time and was told that the driver had not showed up yet and to call back in 15 minutes. I called back and was told that they were running a little late and to call back in 15 minutes. Called back was told they were very busy and would I call back in 15 minutes. Called back and was told that their driver was not coming in . I had to arrange for transportation to their office. At the check in time I was told that I could not rent a Caddy with a Debit card. but that I could rent a F-150 with a debit card. Then there were calls that had to be made to assure that the funds were available and I had to provide a list of 3 people with phone numbers who could vouch for me. Finally after much paper work the vehicle was delivered to me. It was not a Ford F-150 but a Chevrolet 1500. Now we go on to the Vehicle : The truck was delivered dirty , not just dusty or just a little dirty but crusted on dirt such as you would pick up on a construction site. It smelled of stale smoke and other unidentifiable orders. It had no windshield fluid and the warning on the dashboard said " change oil soon" the inside had not even been wiped down and was just nasty. By now I was running so late that there was no time to change rental companies or wait for another vehicle. I took the truck as is and when I returned it I had washed it and put more fuel in it that what it had to begun with. And I have not had my deposit returned to me as yet plus Enterprise had somehow gotten a hold placed on my debit card rendering it un usable . I was and still am very dissatisfied with the whole experience. D.L. Gibson , Lehigh Acres Fl. Enterprise did respond to my complaint with a boiler plate answer , I read google reviews and see the same meaningless answer time after time. THEY DON'T CARE ! Their feeling is apparently that there is another stiff around the corner wanting a car that won't check us out so why worry.
