I normally take my lunch break here about 3-4 days a week. I have told the owner on several occasions how much I like the shop. It has a nice atmosphere and the coffee is good. I have ordered around 25-30 ice lattes here over the past several months. 1 time in the past, I had the owner remake it because their was lots of coffee grounds in the bottom of the drink. No one wants coffee grounds in the bottom of their coffee. That is what coffee filters are for.
Today, my ice latte had lots of coffee grounds in the bottom. I asked the owner to re-make the drink for me because I want a good drink. Out of nowhere, the owner blew up on me and aggressively gave my money back to me. I figured she just might be having a bad day. I asked for maybe some simple coffee, maybe that didn’t have grounds in it. She said it was too much trouble. As I walked out, I realized I wanted to come back here still. It is conveniently by my work and on my 30 minute break, the only coffee shop I can make it too and get back before my 30 minutes is up. I walked back inside and explained I like their place and just simply wanted to get a drink without coffee grounds in it. She said their were plenty of college students that aren’t as picky as me and said she was just refusing my service and not to come back.
I was baffled. Never in my whole entire life have I witnessed worst service. Most of all, I find this very sad. Losing the mentality of wanting to provide good service to customers and your fellow man in life is more that just the fault of a business owner, this is a huge fault in our society. Losing compassion for others, and wanting something for nothing. If your one of the owners reading this, you might want to re-evaluate what your in the business for. Are you simply wanting to make money and never wanting to re-make an order or are you in the business to provide the best quality service possible to every customer. Give and you shall receive right? I think its the best strategy in business and also in life.
