To the entire Gustafson Industries team(Roofing & Painting). Thanks for the pain endured and your extra effort. Gustafson worked hard on a entire tear off, plywood replacement and new white Entegra tile roof for us. A very large, difficult and brutal job. Once completed I was extremely satisfied and decided about 8 months later to have them coat it with their Gusta-Cide product to minimize algae. For some reason that the engineers and chemists of the Entegra Tile company could not figure out - the Gusta -Cide created a chemical reaction and left a green tint to the white tile especially on the edges. It clearly was a chemical reaction to Entegra's tile as no other Gusta-Cide customers had issues. Gustufson completely cleaned my roof doing the tile edges by hand! Neither we nor Gustafson were satisfied with the result. So they recoated my roof with the glaze material used on the tile at the factory to make the job look like it did when they finished it a full year earlier. They DID NOT have to go to the double extra effort, let alone do it at no cost to me. This is the type of customer treatment that builds customer loyalty. A roof is a very expensive improvement, do yourself a favor and choose Gustafson, you will not be disappointed.
I contracted Gustafson Industries to reroof a rental property. The owner Mike Gustafson told me that the tile was on back order from the factory, and it would be 3 weeks before they would deliver it. About 3 weeks went by, I called to find out when they would finish the job? My call went to voice mail and was not returned. I was sent an email saying that they need me to select the color of tile. I called Mike to find out what was going on. Since Mike had signed the form from the association identifying the tile manufacturer and style and color, I had to assume the email was a mistake. No, that's when they started to give me the run around. Every time I called I got a different person, making promises and failing to deliver. The bottom line, Mike lied about the tile, it was in stock, it took 9 weeks for the job to be completed, It should have been done in 30 days according to Mike when they started. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to Mike he responded "that he didn't understand why it was such a big deal?" I think that says it all. Find another roofer, this one is no good!
