If I could give 0 starts, I would. DO NOT RENT ANY OF THEIR PROPERTIES!! I am battling with H2 property management on giving me back my security deposit. They bought out a smaller property management company that I was renting with. In this transition, H2 Property Management did not adequately protect transferred tenants’ security deposits. If they had given an option to refund my deposit and submit it again, I would have gladly done it. Because no actions were taken, there is now a disagreement between the owner and H2 property Management and I have lost my security deposit. I moved out almost a year ago and am still battling with them. I will update this review if they refund my security deposit. However, this is a clear sign of bad management and poor business tactics. STAY AWAY! H2 Property Management, We appreciate your uncharacteristically quick response to this comment. None of our dealings have been with the owner. They have all been with Holloway and then H2 Property Management. If the owner did not return the check to you, that is not the fault of the tenants. We did not construct the paperwork that ought to hold them accountable, the property management company did. We did not choose an owner to deal with, we chose a property management company to deal with. Further, we were assured at our move out inspection by H2 Property Management that we would receive our deposit, and we did not. We were asked for an address to which to send the check, gave this information to H2 Property management, and did not receive a check. While the original check was made out to the owner, it is unreasonable to expect tenants to have to track down the owner to get a deposit back. Despite this, we did get in touch with the owner, and were told that he had given you authority to pay back the deposit from his funds under your control. While he sent us emails and other information to support his side you have not sent us any evidence for your side of this argument. These claims are not ours, but rather those of the owner, to which you have provided no substantial defense. We have sent you emails that have gone unanswered. We have been caught up in a disagreement between you and the owner, having nothing to do with us, and we have paid the price. We feel obligated therefore to tell others of the exceedingly poor experience we have received. I have edited my original comment to remove any possibility of ambiguity, but stand firm in the statement of the terrible service provided by H2 Property Management.
I had a wonderful experience while renting with H2 Properties. Clay specifically was always very helpful and willing to lend a listening ear at anytime. He was always available when I needed him. Maintenance guys were very friendly, helpful, and understanding! And also very timely! I would definitely recommend renting with this company!!
