I brought in seven screens from my house to have just screens replaced or entire screen redone as couple of them were damaged on Feb 1. They wrote up two separate orders (one for those damaged with damaged frames and one for just screens). They said it would be 7-10 days (seemed long time but I knew this because I had called in before). I did not hear from them at all and I started calling them on Feb 12 to get updates. I called on the 12th, 13th and 14th and got the same answer each time - "your screens are next to be done, sorry for the delay, the screen guy only here part time" - on the 15th, I went into the store and inquired about screens - one of the guys physically moved them to "next in line" which means they weren't next as they had told me for 3 days. THey then called me on Saturday (17th) to let me know the screens would be ready on Monday (19th). On Sunday after already closed, they called to let me know that I had been undercharged and that I either needed to pay the difference, or get a refund and pick up my screens. I went in Monday (19th) and got a full refund and picked up my screens. They are now with True Value on Floranada and should be ready in 3 days - full replacement of all 7 screens and frames for about $5 more than the underpaid amount at Ace. Ace gave me my refund no questions and didn't even really seem to care - we had to walk back and pick up our screens from the back - they didn't go get them or anything. I was expecting so much more from a small hardware store that one would think depends on quality service to stay in business. I will never enter that establishment again unless it's because my refund doesn't go through and I have to go back to completely lose it there.
