I really like this store, but Jayne (the manager maybe) has ruined it for me. I don't treat strangers the way she treated me.
I went in with a ceramic knife I bought there being told it had a lifetime warranty all I ever had to do was bring it back into the store. The original lady working the register I was talking to was very polite she said I don't believe there's a warranty on it I'll have to get the manager. Well I did not catch this lady's name I thought she was polite and did an excellent job.
So then Jayne comes out and tells me " I know you were never told that this knife had a warranty like that" but she would give me the even exchange anyway. I told her I do not like being called a liar she asked me very condescendingly to stop talking so that she could talk to me so to be polite I did and listen to her whole story. When she was done I asked for my knife back and said I will never be doing business with your store again I did not want the exchange at the cost of my dignity.
A little while later I went back into the store and got her name off the name tag without saying one word, she asked me if there was anything she could do for me as I was leaving half way out the door, I said no I just came in to get your name for my review. and she started becoming very aggressive and threatening to call Security on me. I was already leaving until you stopped me, to what throw me out? Very childish and unprofessional.
This very quickly became a personal issue for her which she was very aggressive about. I don't know why, don't even care, but I know what I was told when I bought the knife. It was the very reason why I bought the stupid knife in the first place, but I don't want a replacement knife for my dignity. I just want you to honor what you told me that's all. And if you can't give me that just a simple "I'm sorry sir you were told wrong we don't have that type of warranty" that would have been just as acceptable, but your childish rage was not.
