Having worked with local contractors and having a few bad experiences we decided to go through Lowe's for our house remodel. Floors, two bathrooms and kitchen cabinets and counters. It started out pleasantly, planning and choosing the upgrades and materials. That was in October of 2017, everything was ordered and paid for then. Items started arriving late November. We thought we had everything by Christmas but the contractor (Stormtroopers) could not schedule us until February. The week before the demolition the contractor arrived to inspect the cabinets and found some mistake or damage, new was ordered. Monday February 12 we started the demo and myself and my daughter checked into a hotel so we were out of the way and had access to a bathroom for school and work. During the demo rot and mold were found in several areas of the sub floor throughout the house and in the walls in the bathrooms (leaky pipe). Floors had to be pushed back until Stormtroopers could fix the floors, bathrooms pushed back until the walls and plumbing could be fixed as well. After all was fixed and the floors installed, the kitchen cabinets were installed, at that time we realized the genius that had planned our kitchen had purposefully made 4 cabinets too small for the space, Stormtroopers and Lowe's wanted us to ignore this and put in spacing panels to "hide" the size discrepancy. We said no. New cabinets would not be delivered until March 21. Master bath was completed and looks FANTASTIC!!! Second bath kept having issues and scheduling the plumber and Stormtroopers was tedious at best. As of today March 22nd we still do not have all our kitchen cabinets, which means no counter, no sink and no dishwasher. Our bathrooms never got the new ceiling fans installed and the second bath never had the walls on top of the shower insert tiled. We are still missing cabinet doors for the large storage cabinets. The vanity light in the second bathroom was hung completely off-center. And because we have had to use the bathroom sink to wash the few dishes when paper plates would not suffice, the ceramic is scratched. Not cool Lowe's, not cool at all. The only reason for the two stars instead of one is the master bath, it really does look great.
