It's a very busy gym, I know that isn't ever changing. But there is allot of broken equipment. For starters the cable machines are rusted and all the numbers on pin select plates are missing so you don't know the weight that you have selected. Also all the D-rings used too clip attachments too the cables are broken or missing. I counted them the other day and they only have 8 total D-rings but there are over 15 cable points where you would need too use them. The bars are also very old and the knurling on them is wearing off. They don't allow the use of chalk and it makes gripping the bars rather hard when you are lifting heavy. The free weight benches are difficult too raise too an incline because the pins are old and miss aligned. Also the lay pull down machines have warn out cables making them hard too use. One lay pull down machine is missing the seat so you can't use it and another is not bolted down. So if you use that machine and pull more than your body weight the seat moves up with you. When I brought this to the attention of the staff there they referred me too the manager of that gym. I was told that I could fill out a comment card but since she was the person that reads them it would not change any thing. She was very rude and did nothing too help. She even told me that she was sure that nothing was broken. Even when I pointed out the things that were wrong too her she said it didn't matter because it was just a student gym. She also told me that me bring up issues with the equipment was harassment. Also the hours posted on line are wrong. It says they stay open till 8:00 in the evening during week days but in Friday they actually close at 6:00. They also will close randomly during the day because they say the floor is gettin wet. One of the days that they closed for that reason I walked around the gym and the floor was compleatly dry. When I asked about that issue she told me that it was her gym and she can close it when ever she wants too. Also th AC is always going out in that place. The staff under the manager is very polite and helpful but she is any thing but. I have never been talked too in such a rude way at any military facility. She even threatened too call my command for me trying too bring these things up too her. Most of the marines and sailors who use the facility are students and they are not aware that they have the ability so fill out comment cards, she seamed upset that I even took a card and ever since then she has been extremely rude and even came and interrupted my work out inorder too tell me I was in the wrong for having complaints about broken equipment.
