Robert Barry Lurate, MD

I have had issues with my back for several years following a MVA and had treatment with several other providers with little relief. Dr Lurate suggested surgery and I am so pleased with it. I am much better and can't say enough good things!

Went in for a total (right) hip replacement on Jan 21st, 2015. My older brother had the same surgery done about 2 1/2 years ago by this same surgeon... he was very pleased with Dr Lurate. I live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and was not going to be able to handle rehabbing here (wife could not afford to take the time off from work), so brother and his family allowed me to stay with them for the reahab process. I could have left the hospital the next day after surgery, but opted to stay an extra day to get some rehab in-hospital. I did extremely well and 4 months post-sx I am walking fine - lost the cane in less than a month. I would recommend this Doctor to anyone. BTW - he is former US Navy.
