We were referred to SCAN in Feb when our baby "The Dude" was suddenly in extreme pain and lost the ability to use his back legs. Dr Cook said he would get us in that same day & so we made the drive from Clearwater to Sarasota and I am so happy we did! The staff there was so calm and compassionate and made us feel much more comfortable (we were so scared and had no idea what was going on or what to expect.) Dr Cook explained exactly what would happen during the surgery and we felt comfortable leaving our baby in hands. He even does some preventative work while doing the surgery, which a lot of vets don't do. He called us that night and told us how the surgery went and followed up the next couple of days until we cold take our little boy home. He was walking right after surgery and now 4 months later he is doing great! They are opening up a new location in Clearwater very soon and I would recommend them to everyone.
