Went to Clayton for everything with my car.Never thought of not trusting him.I was low on money at one point and he fixed my A.C. and I made payments.749.00.He fixed my windshield wipers 340.00.Had to go back there times after they stopped working and it was raining so bad I had to have my car towed there.Which he charged me another 147dollars because Clayton said he didn't replace that part.Ok,Let's just fix it.I went to his shop with The a.c. still under warranty. He said it would cost 2thousand dollars!!!! In shock I told him I would get back to him.I decided to get my First second opinion from another well respected car repair shop. They told me that all the parts on my A.C. were original with the numbers matching the car.I was charged 230 dollars. Today after spending 340 on my electric power windows 6 months later they stopped working.I took it to my new very reputable place. The motor was destroyed! I had Clayton replace that with the the whole assembly! That was also never replaced!!!! He always said if I paid cash I would get a much better deal.Never received a receipt saying all the things that
For the last year my 1998 Blazer would intermittently not start, just make a try at starting and do nothing but wear down the battery. I would have it towed by AAA to a repair facility, which would then tell me 'well it started for us' with no charge; or a repair would be made and the problem of non-starting would continue. AAA was getting a bit exasperated by my constantly using their towing service. My Blazer was in 4 repair shops in over 1 year, still I would drive around, then it would refuse to start again. Received a recommendation for the St Pete Garage and thought 'why not, I've been almost every place else". They kept the car for about a week. Drove the car around and looked into the problem. The result: They found a bad ground connection in the battery cable and a loose ground plate beneath some electronics. Needed a new battery from all the abuse of constantly trying to restart the car when this problem would crop up. The end result being: the problem, after 4 other shops found nothing, was found and fixed; and the price was VERY reasonable. Now the old car takes me where I want to go with no problems. I think its fair to say I would return to St Pete Garage and recommend it to others. They got the job done.
