As a biomechanist, I have tried for about two years to fix a chronic ankle myself, and only now am I able to run consistently again without pain thanks to Dana's incredible skills and knowledge. I'm so thankful that I finally found Dana! In my first visit, I was thoroughly impressed with the thoroughness and thoughtfulness of her evaluation, which pinpointed some key weaknesses I had in my hip flexors and ankle flexors. Rather than just focusing on the ankle itself, this more comprehensive approach really has addressed the root causes of my ongoing ankle issues (e.g., too much time spent on the ground in stance phase), and it has finally allowed me to overcome these issues from the ground up. As I got stronger in the weak areas mentioned above, Dana then began implementing changes to my running form, which really seem to help me run more efficiently and with less stress on the ankle. She is a great teacher and clinician with a clear and informed vision for how to help runners overcome and prevent injuries; I'm so much happier now that I can run again, so the effects are huge for my quality of life. A few weeks with Dana and I'm back on the Tennis court after not being able to play for 9 months because of knee pain....... So grateful for all the help.
