I went to this salon two weeks prior to going to my appointment. The stylist I went to see gave me a consultation price of 85$. I wanted my roots done and in the process making sure everything was one color. She told me this would be no problem we would do the roots, some foils to make it brighter, a toner to make sure it was even and opalex to make sure it was perfect. I was really excited and booked my appointment. Fast forward to two weeks I see my stylist and when I sat down she told me she talked to another stylist and she said just bleaching the roots and toning them would be enough. I was confused because I thought that we were doing foils and opalex too, but in trusting my stylist I assumed that was part of it so I was ready. Mean while after the bleach was applied I could only stand it for 20 mins because I forgot that you are not supposed to wash your hair before applying product. After she washed it out she applied the toner to only the top of my head in the bowl. I kept asking her if she was going to apply it to the bottom and she said yes. Ok she did not do that. Once done she blow dried the front frame of my face and it had a little bit of lavender in it but over all it looked good, I knew the lavender would wash right out. (Mind you, the rest of my hair was still wet) I did not get a blow dry, I was just going right home.
Later that day I noticed my hair was about 4 different shades of blonde. GREAT. I wasn't going to call because I'm not a complainer but I can't afford to just throw away money. I let the owner know so she booked me a free appointment. I was very heistant on comming back in because I have worked at Salons before and they look down upon unhappy clients. Point blank.
I walked in and the receptionist asked me what I would like to drink, not as nice as before. I asked for coffee and she asked how I would like it? I didn't understand the question because I was assuming they had different flavors of coffee like most salons do and she said cream and sugar ? With attitude. Anyways I sat in the chair and the stylist went on about how I didn't wait long enough and that was the reason why it was many colors. (While I'm thinking regardless i paid so you need to do my hair the way I asked but I didn't say anything) and at this point it was just going on and making me feel uncomfortable. So she did my roots and no toner. My roots came out orange white. And do not blend in with the rest of my hair. Also she kept telling me I only left the bleach in for 8 mins when I timed it for 20 the last time I was in. But this time I held it on for the right amount of time
The stylist was very nice and I won't mention her name. Some stylists are just not experts in bleach and it's not her fault. I just feel like when applying any thing weather it be a full head or just roots, blend it in. Make it even and don't tell the client you will do one thing for a certain price and then don't. I'm very upset the owner did not take more part in this situation. She should have booked me with someone who knows more about bleaching and blending. I will not be going back here and I will not be recommending anyone. I have never had to go back two times after getting my roots dome. I look like a blonde ginger, my roots are bright yellow and it's like I did an at home bleach job on myself. I will be writing reviews anywhere I can and filing a grievance with the BBB. Nobody should walk out of a Salon with their hair looking the way mine does
