How to prevent school shootings? First things First: GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE or ANIMALS ... PEOPLE IS THE KILLER ... ... NO GUN LAW IS GOING TO PREVENT CRIMINALS AND THE CRIMINALLY INSANE FROM OBTAINING GUNS ... GUN LAWS WILL PREVENT INNOCENT LAW ABIDING CITIZENS FROM PROTECTING THEMSELVES, THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, THEIR PROPERTY AND OTHERS against criminals and the criminally insane ... While we do not want to consider building and/or retrofitting our schools as a "Prison" ... it is being proven; Massacre after Massacre the lack of security at our public schools is allowing these acts to continue ... WE MUST SECURE OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS ... First of all, we need to construct and/or retrofit our public schools with: - FENCING: Most schools in Florida have open campus' with little to no secured parameters in which anyone can walk to any building on campus without having to report and sign into the office ... RECOMMENDATION: ALL Public School Campus' should be constructed and/or retrofitted with their parameters with 10 foot high fencing and when the school is put on "Lock-Down", the parameter is also "Locked Down" with the gates closed down ... Had the high school in Broward County had this system ...the killer could not have escaped ... - SECONDARY SECURITY: Construction - ALL new public Schools should be constructed in such a way that there is a FOUR-WAY secured ENTRY/EXIT system - First, Visitors MUST enter thru the main office ... A second entry/Exit for students ... a third entry/exit for delivery and service personnel in the rear next to the lunch room/cafeteria ... a fourth exit thru the Gym in order to get to the track and sports Stadium. ... IF Multiple buildings are needed, they must connect to act as walls where no one can enter .Kinda like the Pentagon .. All older schools need to be retrofitted even if there has to be walled or fencing to ensure that someone cannot get to numerous buildings just be walking to them without having to go to the office to report in ... - TEACHERS and ADMIN PERSONNEL: Should be trained, licensed (Concealed Weapons Permit) and carry a hand gun to prevent mass casualties ...
