WOW !! An honest auto mechanic. I grew up in the area, but recently moved back after 30 years. My sister recommended E & E Auto Repairs. My 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 has recently been giving me idle issues and stalling. I took it into E & E prepared for a long stay - charged laptop and my mobile internet access, veggie snack, nut bars and a couple bottles of water. Just as I was finishing my coffee Ernie (mechanic) called me over and explained “It could be this, but your truck is kicking out 3 of the 4 codes that means your computer needs to be refreshed with a program update. I don’t have the flash drive to do that. You’ll need to take it to the Dodge Dealer. They’ll charge you $109 to check it out, but in most cases will flash your computer as part of that. Then if that fixes your issues you are good. If the other part still needs replaced, then come on back here and I can save you money on that over the dealer.” I replied, “OK. How much do I owe you for your time in checking it out today.” He said, “Oh don’t worry about that. It’s nothing. Just let me know if that fixes your problem and if you need help with the other part. I replied, “Well you’ve at least earned a positive review online from me for your honest and generosity of your time.” I’ll definitely be using E & E Auto Repair in the future and recommending them to others.
Ernie's a great mechanic! I choose him for his honesty and hard work. I recommend him to all my friends and family.
