This used to be a good office until Dr. Segal started practicing.
I am a recovering addict with over 30 years of drug addiction and five years of addiction Recovery in my life. Ever since Dr. Segal started practicing on this office, I requested, and continuously! ask him not to continue to offer me any kind of addictive medication... Or anything that would cause dependency... but he's a pill pusher... In my opinion. This man went as far as to letting me know that his wife is antidepressants, that she takes addictive pain medications, that she is an addict, and that she takes all the medications that he was recommended to me. Therefore, if you value your privacy do not! seek medical attention at this office. Dr. Segal came across as impulsive, headstrong, and unethical, during the approximately three months that I was under his care.
I have chosen to move on and find another office, due to the fact that Island doctors only has one physician for both offices, and this will be the only way I can get the care that I feel I deserve.
The office is always backed up and disorganized... my referrals and paperwork kept getting lost or not found by the front desk clerk and office staff, the receptionist office staff are rude unless they feel like being nice... that's usually when they don't have much going. This employees are definitely overworked, they are understaffed, unprofessional, and could care less about your concerns.
If you're looking for a high level of care, that is efficient, prompt, professional, and respectful of your "rights as a patient"... I suggest find a different provider.
A grievance against this doctor is in process.
