I’ve been going to this surgery center since my 2012 colonoscopy and my wife has also been a patient here for her colonoscopy. We have always received excellent treatment by the staff at this facility and could not understand the extremely negative reviews by others.
I recently had another colonoscopy in early March. I did the prep and showed up at 7:00 AM and found my doctor’s office hadn’t put me on the schedule until the last minute. Carol the receptionist apologized and Nora (the facility Administrator) assured me I would receive my procedure on that day so I wouldn’t have to repeat the prep. It did result in an almost 3 hour wait but I just read a book to pass the time.
Lisa, my pre-op nurse did a thorough review of my records and then set me up with an IV and saline drip, along with heart monitor and blood pressure cuff. I had the opportunity to listen and observe the staff and saw nothing but professional behavior and care to the patients.
Following my procedure, my post-op nurse (I didn’t get her name!) helped me rejoin the world and brought my wife back to sit with me. Again, nothing but courtesy and compassion and professionalism. After getting dressed, this same nurse gave me the best post-op briefing I’ve ever had, clearly explaining the results of my colonoscopy and follow-on care instructions. Nothing was rushed and I was allowed enough time to finish my snack and juice. After my doctor stopped by to chat about my procedure and follow-on care, I observed Nora helping the other nurses with clean-up and preparation of the beds for the next patient. A working leader!
When I was ready to leave, Nora helped me walk out and down the steps to my car. She seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had a good experience at her facility and I thanked her for going the extra mile. I highly recommend this facility!
