TL;DR: Bad service
I am not one to complain. If my order is wrong and it is edible, I will eat it and politely mention it to the server. However, I had a very poor experience here. I was skeptical of some of these negative reviews but agree with them now. It was busy but there was no staff clearing tables for incoming customers. They were just huddled in the back talking and avoiding the customers. The server made no effort to accommodate our simple "no onions" request (I saw her choose to not write it down after writing my order), and my friend was served a burger with a bun so soggy it could have been only eaten with a spoon. The only reason I am giving a second star is for the manager who came over to apologize and take care of our bill for us. I hope management is given a fresh staff because my Steak and shake experiences in days past have been great.
