UPDATE: 9-1-17 The owner did call me and was quite sincere in his apology for the mishap. He did resolve the issue. My new comforter arrived yesterday and it matches to all the accessories perfectly. Thank you Mitchell for taking the time to call and to make us feel as valued customers. Just really very disappointed. I took at $500 comforter to Rogers for cleaning on Monday August 7th. I was told that it would be ready on Friday. OK, I can live with that. On Thursday my husband calls and tells me that the comforter was delivered to the house. To be honest I was impressed that it was a day early and that it was delivered and packaged quite nicely. When I opened the bag I noticed puckering, threads pulled, the fabric was stiff and somewhat hard. The comforter is ruined and cannot be be repaired. The store was closed so I waited until the next morning to call. Friday morning I spoke with a very nice young lady on the phone and she indicated that Juliana was the manager and she was not in yet, but was expected at 9:00 am. I waited until 10:30 and called back to speak with Juliana. She needed pictures of the comforter. OK, not a problem. I just happen to have pictures of the bed before the comforter was destroyed, but not of the comforter after the damage so I told her that I would come by after work and bring her the comforter for her to see. She indicated that she would be leaving at 4:00. Ok no big deal, I will have my husband take it by so she could see it and take the pictures. I even sent a picture of sale ad for the comforter with the pricing so she could see herself the cost and what it was supposed to look like. BTW the comforter is discontinued. At approximately 11:45 Juliana calls and she indicates that she has an emergency and needs to leave but will be back at 4:00 and will be there until 7:00. Great, works out for us and I can take it to her. My husband and I arrive Friday evening at 6:15 only to find that Juliana just left the store. Wow, poor customer service. So the yound lady that was there took pictures of the comforter and the pillow sham showing the condition the comforter was in prior to the destruction of the comforter by Rogers. Monday morning, the 14th I received a call stating that they would reimburse me for the comforter and I would have a check in the mail. OK, I can live with that. Then I receive an email from Juliana wanting my bank statement or credit card statement showing how much I paid for the comforter. Hmmmm, I am not going to provide my bank statement to anyone. I provided the marketing ad for the comforter and the price. Red flags are really popping up at this point. I not only paid $500 for the comforter but the accessories, drapes, pillows, rugs, etc. that I purchased to put this bedroom together in addition to the comforter puts the total cost for this bedroom and master bathroom at $1,300. They are not going to reimburse that extra are they? Afterall the comforter is no longer available and I will be hard pressed to find something similar to make it all work. Luckliy, I did find something with some similar colors that will work, it is $899. So, here it is Friday. A week has gone by and still no check and no resolution. Today Juliana has requested that I give them the comforter before they reimburse me. Hmmmm, no. If they want the comforter after I am reimbursed, then yes, they can have it. I have read the reviews and I am not leaving it so that it can disappear or so they can act like it never happened. Goodness, I really just want what I paid for the comforter so we can all just move on. I am not happy about the customer service, I am not happy that this is yet to be resolved, I am not happy that they are shirking their responsibility for destroying my comforter, I am not happy that I am forced to write a poor review, I am not happy that this is taking up my time, I am not happy about any of this situation. Rogers needs to take responsibility and step up to the plate and reimburse me.
