The Meadows is pretty much how it sounds, a large field that is mostly surrounded by tree lines. There are some sporadic trees and palm bushes towards the west end, as well as bleachers and a small parking area towards the east and intersection with 50th St.
Typical busy around the early morning and 5pm area of weekdays. Many of USF's big events also happen here (e.g. Bull Stock and fall mini carnival), so UP can close it down at times for the night.
Also, college drivers in their late teens and early twenties dominate these roads, so expect hazardous driving behavior. Especially with the "On 50" apartments right across the street.
Finally, if you happen to be a USF student the Humans versus Zombies club holds training missions here. HvZ is essentially an elaborate form of tag that is a mission-based pretend-apocalyptic scenario which lasts up to 6 days and takes place all over the USF campus. Find the USF HvZ group on Facebook to learn more about how to play!
